Sessions Offered On Diabetes
Winter Haven Hospital will present "Living with Diabetes," a series of four classes, in two sessions - one in the afternoon and one in the evening - in January.

Topics that will be covered are an overview of diabetes, meal planning, self-blood glucose monitoring, awareness of complications and dealing with stress.

The goal of the program is to motivate those with diabetes to follow their treatment plan, to enhance a full life and to prevent complications.

The afternoon session will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30.

The evening session will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 8, 15, 22 and 29.

The classes will be held in the Education Classrooms of Winter Haven Hospital, 200 Ave. F N.E.

The fee for the entire series is $25 per family. No fee is charged for those who have previously attended the series, or those who have been hospitalized in the past eight weeks at a Mid-Florida Medical Services facility.

For more information or to register, call the Winter Haven Hospital Education Department at 863-297-1706 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
