These test show higher level of blood sugar that actually it is, FDA Website states. Test results may come in 5-17 pct higher than actual blood sugar levels, it said, adding the issue affects only test strips used with Bayer's Contour TS blood sugar measuring device. 'The root cause of the problem has been identified, and corrective actions implemented including additional quality control measures to prevent recurrence,Bayer said in the statement. Bayer Schering Pharma AG is a research-centered pharmaceutical company that was formed by the merger of Schering with Bayer on December 29, 2006. The company was originally founded in 1851 by Ernst Schering (1824-1889). The company employs more than 26,000 people in 140 subsidiaries all over the world.
