IMPORTANCE OF EXERCISE IN CONTROLLING DIABETES 
Regular exercise is especially important for a person with diabetes. It helps with blood sugar control, weight loss, and high blood pressure. People with diabetes who exercise are less likely to experience a heart attack or stroke than diabetics who not exercise regularly. Exercise, generally helps control blood glucose levels because exercising muscle cells use more sugar and oxygen than those at rest. Exercise also helps insulin to work better.

WEIGHT LOSS HOME REMEDIES 
A well planned, balanced diet in combination with proper exercises and changes in the life style are the only way of dealing with obesity. Our food should provide balanced amount of nutrients and the number of calories in it should be least.
Person, who wants to lose weight, should extract juice one lemon in a glass of lukewarm water. Add a teaspoonful of honey and take in the morning immediately after waking up and before taking any same of drink.
Person wishing to lose weight can go on a juice only diet for five to seven days. Diet should be restricted to juice of lemon, grapefruit, orange, pineapple and cabbage. This is followed by four or five days of all fruit diet. It consists of three meals a day of pineapple and papaya. After this, gradually the patient can have low-calories well balanced diet consisting of vegetable, grains, etc.

Weight control is very important in the prevention and treatment of diabetes. It is person is overweight, then he is at great risk for developing type 2 diabetes. But if a person who already has type 2 diabetes gains weight, then it will be even harder for him or her to control his or her blood sugar level. Hence, it has been noted that diabetes can influence a person’s weight. As, the untreated type –1 diabetes can make people lose weight. The child suffering from Type-1 diabetes, can lose weight, despite having a normal or increased appetite. Child suffering from Type-1 diabetes, if treated properly, then has or her weight usually returns to normal. Kids with type-1 diabetes may became overweight only if they do not maintain healthy eating and exercise habits. When kids with diabetes reach and maintain a healthy weight, they feel better and have more energy.

Although, “Yoga” cannot cure diabetes, but it can complement the lifestyle changes which are necessary to keep the symptoms in diabetics under control. It also helps in keeping the person in good health and well-being. Yoga can create a life that is full, happy, healthy and balanced. If a person wants to lose weight, then in them yoga helps to build up concentration and will power, due to which it is easier for them to stay on weight-loss program. Yoga excersises gently tone and also improves circulation particularly to the extremities. Yoga exercises in combination with relaxation training, reduces the blood pressure. Yoga exercises reduce the harmful effects of physical and mental stress.
